Droogettes at the Sportsman’s Cafe

The PoGo Crew, had a chance to get out to Sportys, this weekend for a Rally Cry Records event. The Allentown venue, was a great spot to host the gig. Complete with a new sound system and some great visual effects.

Droogettes

The Droogettes, from Philly headlined the night. The all girl band was explosive, with catchy sing-a-long anthems for you to PoGo to. It was also the first time the new split with Vice Squad, was made available to the public. The clock work gals, played both tracks from the new record and a bunch from the up coming full length as well.

The girls from the band are not afraid to move around the stage or even out into the crowd. Lead vocalist Jennifer, is a lot of fun to watch, throwing jabs and kicks through out the entirety of their set.

No Apologies Promo Video

If you missed them last weekend, or want to see them again come out to the Punks Against Terrorism Benefit. This killer gig is being held at Nazareth Jacksonian Club, Sat, August 19th from 2-11 pm.

Other bands include Whiskey Dicks, World Poison (featuring Andrew Bedlam) , Screw Heads, Psycho Cats, Hate Trash Disasters and Admit Nothing. Find more info here.

Admit Nothing

One of PoGo City’s local favorites Admit Nothing, also rocked the July 8th gig. The Allentown natives, played a great set promoting the new Beer Soaked and Pist compilation they are featured on. The PoGo Crew really gets moving to these guys as they run through songs like, …And Don’t You Forget, On and On and Boredom and Loss.

New drummer Timmy Violent, seems to be fitting in nicely with Steve and Ron. The trio sounded great and PoGo City, looks forward to sharing the stage with them Aug 19th in Nazareth.

Cash Registers

This was the first time I had the opportunity to catch the NYC Pop Punkers live. Reminiscent of the Dead Milk Men and the Dickies the Cash Registers did not disappoint. Keeping the crowd entertained and engaged with fun pop classics. Make sure to check them out the next time they are in town.
